Trek Connect Achieves AS9100 Certification

An ISO 9001 and Now AS9100B-Certified Company

Trek Connect, Inc. (Trek), a custom cable and wire harness manufacturer, has been certified to AS9100, the international aerospace standard for quality management systems.

Although Trek has been ISO 9001-certified since 2003, senior management pursued continuous improvement to operate an even more comprehensive quality system focused on reliability of product and responsive customer service. The AS9100 aerospace standard is based on ISO 9001, with over 100 additional requirements specific to the rigorous needs of aerospace customers. Trek prepared for AS9100 registration for over one year, reviewing and improving all aspects of its business: sales, design, purchasing, planning, product realization, and product validation prior to shipment.

In June, Trek underwent a stringent registration audit of the company's employees, processes, and operations, to ensure its quality processes and documentation met the requirements of the AS9100 standard.
